    Hi,
CAT is the biggest management exam mainly for IIMs, most of the good B-schools accept its score. XAT is also an important management exam for Xavier's University. SNAP is another important exam for Symbiosis International University. NMAT scores are also acceptable by 10-15 management schools but it is mainly for Narsee Munji. CMAT and MAT are other management exams which are acceptable by many institutes. All the above stated exams are conducted once in a year except MAT, it occurs 4 times in a year. All of these are Entrance exams to qualify for a B-School in India. There's not much difference when it comes to the syllabus or study materials for these exams. Preparing for one will prepare you for mostly all of them. However the difficulty levels vary. For ex-CMAT and MAT are considerably easy in terms of complexity as compared to CAT or XAT. Also each college has its own entrance exam, like IIMS accept CAT scores, SIBM accepts SNAP XLRI accepts XAT. NMIMS accepts NMAT etc. So, you need to know which colleges you want to apply for to register for the respective exams.

Majorly, CAT is the most taken entrance test by candidates so that they can study in IIMs. Other exams are for AICTE affiliated colleges or for particular private colleges such as NMAT is for Marsee Monjee and SNAP for Symbiosis, Pune and XAT for Xavier colleges. These exams are conducted once a time in a year instead of MAT. MAT is held 3-4 times in a year. But CAT is most influenced exam by most of the candidates because it is only exams which offer a seat in IIMs. CMAT is held in the month of January every year so that th
