For starters, you should have a minimum mark of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Math. Also, you need good communication skill. Usually, a total flying time of 250 hours is required to be an airline navigator. In this 250 hours, it includes 150 hours solo and 25 hours across the home country. He/she must be at least 23 years old and should hold a commercial pilot certificate. They should have a record of at least 1,500 hours total time as a pilot and also must be recorded at least 50 hours in a multi-engine aero plane. These are the general commercial things that are required to be an airline navigator.

5 years agoA flight navigator also has to keep the plane on course once in the air. And that aspect of the job has not changed. They are still responsible for getting a plane from one point on the map to another. Navigators today rely on global positioning systems and inertial navigation systems. They just have to punch in the coordinates of where they want to go, and most planes today can get there almost without any human help. 2. You must be at least 16 years of age to be eligible for a Student Pilot License, 17 for a Private Pilot License, and 18 for a Commercial Pilot License.
3. Alternatively, you could directly enroll for the Private Pilot License once you have cleared Class XII and are 17 years old. This involves taking an exam conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation* consisting of theory papers on air navigation, aviation meteorology, air regulation and technical aspects.
