To pursue a PhD at LPU, candidates must have a master's degree or equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. Those with M.Phil. degrees are also eligible. Additionally, candidates must qualify for the LPUNEST (PhD Entrance Test), which assesses their research aptitude, subject knowledge, and critical thinking.

After qualifying, candidates go through an interview process to assess their research proposal and academic background. Some exceptions may apply for candidates with significant research experience or those who have cleared national-level exams like UGC NET.

Hi there,

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

I hope this helps,

Thank you.
