Selection Criteria: An applicant will be short-listed for an interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D.). The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in the Interview subject to scoring minimum marks. Exemption from Entrance Test Applicants who have qualified UGC (NET /JRF) / CSIR (NET / JRF) / SLET / GATE / GPAT / ICAR Teacher Fellowship or cleared M.Phil program (In regular mode only) are exempted from LPUNEST (Ph.D.). IMP: Exemption is for LPUNEST (Ph.D.) only but the applicant will have to fill out the LPUNEST (Ph.D.) form and appear for the Interview. (in regular mode only) are exempted from LPUNEST (Ph.D.) entrance test (GATE/ GPAT score should be valid at the time of admission). The final selection for admission in Ph.D. is based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview. However, if anyone is exempted from the LPUNEST (Ph.D.) entrance test instead of the above-mentioned tests, then 100% weightage will be given to the Interview only. Unless otherwise specified by the University, the medium of instruction, course work, examination, question paper, synopsis, and the thesis will be English in all cases.
