I am a student of LPU and I am living in a hostel. My roommate doing a bachelor's in agriculture. She is saying B.Sc Agriculture is an amazing course. This is a 4-year program in which students get the knowledge about genetic and plant breeding, Agriculture, soil sciences and plant pathology, etc. It also gives information to grow plants with the help of modern technology. ACHIEVEMENTS: students of LPU have been awarded the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj National Research Fellows award, Padua Excellence fellowship from the University of Padua, Italy, and Research Fellowship worth US$ 500 per month from AVRC, Taiwan. Along with this, a student is selected for the University of Mississippi, the USA with a full scholarship of approximately 1.5 Cr. A student got a Padua Excellence fellowship from the University of Padua, Italy. LPU IS THE LARGEST PLACEMENT NETWORK! LPU got the Golden Star Award 2018 for being the University with the best placements in India. In B.Sc agriculture, a student obtains placement in 23 LPA salary packages in 2022. LPU is well known for its B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture course. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. Ds and provide full support to the students. The best thing is the university does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held and if a faculty wants a leave either the makeup lectures are planned or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. If I talk about placements, University provides separate placement oriented classes, and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etcetera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students.
