LPU is the only private university that has ICAR approval. LPU students got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more. The package really depends on what he can show to the recruiters that, how much he is worth or deserved. There were some students who cracked the placement and got offered 1 crore LPA, while many failed to do so. On an average the Agriculture students of LPU is offered and placed in the starting package of 5.5 TO 6 LPA (Fixed salary) while there may be cases of students getting less than that or more than that. Scope for B.Sc. In Agriculture: Career Opportunities: There are plenty of government as well as private sector jobs available for B.Sc. Agriculture graduates. They can be appointed as Research Officer, Quality Assurance Officer, Agriculture Officer, Agriculture Loan Officer (in Banks), Production Manager, Operations Manager and Farm Manager with State agriculture departments. In the private sector, agriculture Science graduates may find jobs as managers at plantations, as officers at fertilizer manufacturing firms, agriculture machinery industries, agricultural products marketing firms, food processing units etc. The average starting salary of these officers is generally between Rs. 5 to 6 Lacs per annum (including incentive). Talking about government jobs, state agriculture departments recruits graduates to fill up officer level posts. Government banks also recruits graduates to fill up officer level posts (generally dealing with loans). Talking about Private Sector jobs, graduates may find jobs as Managers at Plantations, as Officers at Fertilizer Manufacturing firms, Agriculture Machinery Industries, Agricultural Products Marketing firms, Food processing units etc. Average starting salary is generally between 2-4.5 LPA.
