What should I choose among Maths and Science to become a scientist?

    It depends on what kind of scientist you want to be.
    If you want to do research in purely medical based field, I don't think maths would be compulsory.

    Thanks for asking.
    If you want to become a scientist, you have to read both Science & Maths because both the subjects are related to each other.
    Yes, if you don't like mathematics, then you can select (PCB), Physics Chemistry & Biology. You can get into research field by pursuing these subjects also.

    Physics would be a better choice for becoming a scientist. It will definitely involve some mathematics but not purely. If you take pure mathematics course you can become a mathematician.

    Look. To become a scientist. U should take Science stream. N then choose maths or biology as per year interest. Bt make sure. Whatever u choose. U feel interested in doing it

    It totally depends upon you. Maths itself is a part of science and you should go for Science with maths as it will help you in becoming a scientist.

    U can choose PCM because physics and chemistry already came in Science so choose PCM in 12th.

After the 2023-24 revised CBSE syllabus, many chapters have been removed, and in some chapters syllabus is reduced. As per the latest CBSE exam pattern 2025-26, the Chapter 1 Solutions will be asked for 5-7 marks in the Class 12 Chemistry CBSE board exams.
