You should choose both or can choose PCB group and become a scientist in physics, chemistry, biology, etc. There are numerous fields without maths.
    Good luck.

Obviously, to become a scientist you should compulsorily opt for science. Maths may be optional if you are going into medical stream and if you are into non-medical, you should definitely choose science and maths both.

I think it's based on the topic you are interested in. If what I am guessing is right then I think you are having interest to know the process that how things are made up of, to invent new things. Then it is better to opt for science stream than mathematics.

To become a scientist you should have knowledge about all the fields, not just of maths and science. Sometimes you have to concentrate on other streams as well.

It depends on the field you want to contribute in, i.e. physics or medical. Both the fields are excellent. But remember one thing that not to take mathematics with science as an additional subject as it could affect your scores.
  • You can choose both because maths helps in your research for calculation and approximation which has very important in research.

You need to study both the subject, because without Maths, you won't be able to solve problems. For research, first you need to make your basics strong and you can do it by studying science and math.
