Which branch of engineering is better, automobile or mechanical?

8 years agoMechanical engineering is known for having more scope. So it is better. -
ya whn comparing both mech is better than auto. the syllabus is almost same. but mech will get more openings. a mech guy can work in auto field.the reverse scenario is hard.

B.Tech in automobile engineering has limited scope as compared to B.Tech in mechanical because
with automobile engineering you will only get jobs in vehicles industry where as with mechanical, the whole diaspora of engineering is wide open for you.
Furthermore, there are not many colleges with amazing infrastructure for teaching automobile engineering. Automobile engineering is something which should be pursued as a specialization post graduation. -
Mechanical is a better branch than automobile from job view.you have job opportunities in government services also as mechanical is a core branch.
