B.Tech from LPU cannot actually be compared to any other institution in the country. Following points make it entirely a different experience altogether:
Large number of specializations within the streams. For example only CSE has about 8 specializations within its ambit. Large number of industry trainings like SAP, MOOCs and many more. Huge diversity of students and faculty. The sheer number of people from different states and countries with highly competitive environment helps the students in getting used to work in cross cultural environment and team work, which is desired skill set in many companies. Both LPU and Chandigarh universities are similar for pursuing B.Tech CSE graduation degree but LPU has additional edge of exposure, updated curriculum and good placements because of its aggressive brand building efforts. I personally believe LPU is the best University. LPU provides the latest curriculum which is accepted at industry level, industrial exposures and the best placement depending upon the caliber of the student. Every year nearly 600 companies visit for campus-recruitment of students. The companies which have visited as of now are: Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdoc

I guess Chandigarh university is a very good option for CSE as most of the companies come here for CSE field. The placements start from the end of your 6th sem. You will surely be placed in a company but only through your self study, teachers here are not upto the mark. And also consider that CSE alone has 2500 students for your year. It's all about competition and exposure.
