Which college is better among LPU and Chandigarh University to pursue CSE?

Dear Student, I am pursing Ph.D. Computer Science from Lovely Professional University, I keep on visiting the campus and is in regular with faculty members. Also, I have once visited CU, for one of my research paper. I will share my experience regarding both the universities. While looking for admission in any university, there are few parameters to be noted down and then you can compare accordingly. First parameter should be Curriculum: Since I am a LPU student, I am well worse with their curriculum, LPU follows updated syllabus and keeps on revising it as per the student and industry needs. CU follows a set pattern and abides by it completely. Next important factor to be considered is well-equipped Labs, let me tell you honestly, this is my first reason to choose LPU for my research part, as they have well-equipped labs with completely the latest technology so you need to worry about your projects and research. CU on the other hand has limited resources in this case. Next factor to be counted upon is Placement, for you. Since the day I am attached with LPU, I found every now and then there are placement drives being conducted and students are being prepared day and night for the same. I cant say anything on the placement parameter of CU, for that you can refer their website. Next factor is Faculty involved, Most of the faculty at LPU are Ph.D. and many of them are from renowned universities such as IIT, IIM and even abroad. My own Ph.D. mentor is an alumnus of IIT Guwahati and holds few patents and has a list of research papers published by him. At CU, I found faculty members were good but not as capable as of LPU. Another factor to be looked after is Recognitions, which can directly be compared from their respective websites. In this parameter also, LPU takes a lead. Now, regarding Internships, one of the important factor again for graduation student, As per my knowledge, Summer trainings, full-term optional / compulsory internships, On-the-job trainings, study tours, and skill enhancement events and workshops are extensively integrated in LPU curriculum. They expose students to real work environments and provide an opportunity to apply their learning in real life situations. So if we conclude on the overall parameters, LPU has an edge over CU. But still, I would advise you to visit their websites in detail and speak to the admission counselors.

Hi Ashish, Chandigarh University is better to pursue CSE. CU provides better internship and placement options. It is awarded with NAAC A+. The syllabus is all updated and modern. The faculty is highly qualified Chandigarh University has a great learning environment. The fee is affordable and transparent It has student exchange programme as well, as it has collaborations with many foreign universities.

To pursue CSE, Chandigarh university is better than LPU. First of all CU is best in all perspectives whether we talk about infrastructure, curriculum, education, placements, faculty, management. The highest package that was offered to a student of CSE was 31.77 LPA from google. The average packages are from 3 to 4 LPA. The teachers are very dedicated here and they help the students not for only complete the syllabus but also guide them for their career.

Chandigarh University is better amongst these two Universities. It is NAAC A+ accredited and has fantastic infrastructure and facilities to support academical structure to pursue in CSE.

LPU is one of the best universities in India. It is a UGC-approved university which has been ranked well by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its faculty, its placements, its teaching practices, etc. The university provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. The university leaves no stone unturned to shape the future of its students. It is definitely the first choice of both national and international students. LPU has become the landing place of many leading industries for recruitment. It has many top rankings in placements. The students of LPU has been placed in the top companies with high salary packages. In the year 2019, a student from CSE stream has bagged a package of 42 lac at microsoft.

Chandigarh University is far better than LPU. CU is NAAC A+ holder. It offers good internship facility and also assist student in getting industry exposure. Following factors make CU's B.Tech CSE. Updated Course Curriculum. Experienced Faculty.
