Which college is better for B.Tech CSE in terms of academics and placement: LPU or SRM, Chennai?

B.Tech CSE is one of the popular courses among the students who want to make their career in the IT (Information Technology) field. The duration of the course is 4 years and divided into 8 semesters. It comprises of the subjects like database, networking, data structure, core programming languages like C and Java. This course provides a lot of opportunities to the students who are interested in computer field and wants to work in the IT sector as programmer or software developer. One of my friend is doing B.Tech from Lovely Professional University. I have seen his growth in academic as well as, as a human being, LPU provides a platform for the student to enhance their skills in sports, co-curricular, cultural activities, practical exposure, etc. He wrote an entrance exam for Eligibility and Scholarship and on the basis of this test he got scholarship for his degree (4 years). Semester. He told me about the a student organizations of which he was a member. His team conducted a fundraising event so that they can provide useful things to a school and an old age home. Their team also took orphans to a Science city tour. They had organised many free health check-up camp in villages. All these activities have improved his managing skills, time management, presentation skills. I noticed that after joining LPU he improved a lot. He is staying in a hostel because services are too good like mess facility, internet services, tv room, biometric facility and wardens are so supportive. If we talk about placement, a separate placement department is meant for it. He is in the last semester of B.Tech CSE and he has already been placed with a good salary package. He also said that university provides a platform to the students to run their own venture, a student can avail SEED money for initiating the project. He had started his own venture on campus and was doing well in that. He named a few top companies which had visited for B.Tech CSE were: Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Amazon, CTS, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, SAP Labs, Aon, IBM, ITC Infotech, MAQ Software, Josh Technologies, Sopra Steria, Tavant, Wipro, L&T Technologies.

Go for LPU, as you will get good platform for learning, exposure and scholarship. Placements are good too.

Both are well known universities of India with modern infrastructure and facilities. Even placements are worth mentioning. But I would prefer LPU over other for few reasons: The very first reason is LPU has single campus so the management concentrates on making it the best where as SRM has more than one campus due to which how so ever hard they try still one or the campus is affected. The curriculum of LPU is in sync with the industry. Placements especially for CSE are really very good with companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. , visiting the campus regularly for recruitment. Not only this but also the university gives regular inputs to their students in the form of PEP classes where in the students are trained for facing the placement drives. Also, the kind of exposure offered to students whether it is academic or nonacademic adds to the personality and overall development of the students. So, it would be a good choice to go for admission in LPU. Good luck.

Hi, LPU is the best university to go for, it provides quality education at a reasonable price and ample of exposures. LPU is also known for its placements. You can definitely go for it.

I always suggest LPU when it comes to the placement of CSE. Moreover, a student can have a lot of opportunities while studying LPU for their better and prosperous career. I have also done my MBA from LPU and one of my friend's younger brother is studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are some points I would like to share why CSE is good from LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft in 2020. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarship to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students on the basis of their academics and extracurricular activities Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Tie-ups: B.Tech in CSE has tie-up with upgrade which helps students to explore themselves more in their field. Both are equally good. I don't know much about SRM, but I have heard it is quite good. LPU on other hand is also a good college and some of my friends study there. So, it would be better to choose a college near you. If distance is not a matter, then I would suggest SRM.
