Personally, I opt for BA. BA offers chances for variegated activity. You can rely on self-study. You can your Skills also, which unfortunately are lacking in many young men. IAS is highly competitive and so, preparation consumes a lot of your time and it is a sacrifice, too.

    Hi Ajay
Cracking the IAS is more about indepth study of whatever subject you are comfortable with and hv an aptitude for. It could be from arts or science or commerce, what matters is how will you prepare it. Just to reinforce my statement, the list of subjects chosen by the toppers of last few years is as in the given link. Read and decide.

if you study Ba (honours) psychology or b.sc then both are 80 percent similar than each other. and for UPSC exam u can join Sam Higginbotom Institute Of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, SHIATS, allahabad, Uttar Pradesh for Ba(honours) psychology programme and after prepare for TISS at ma psychology because after you can get more opportunities and it will help you in your mains exam.

you can choose any field ba,bcom and bsc at graduation level. you only needs to be a graduate. but ba and bsc at graduation level can help. example- history and political science can help in clearing the general science paper.
