    Hi Radhika
B.Sc. Deals with more of a theoretical part whereas B.Tech comprises more of a practical. But B.Sc. Is either research or teaching-oriented. By going for a Ph.D. you can also become a professor in a reputed university. B.Tech is more of an engineering side and thus has better job prospects. Moreover these days the demand for B.Tech Biotechnology is increasing tremendously. So Having said that having a Biotechnology degree opens up many more doors, in various fields like industrial processes, management jobs while microbiology jobs are more research oriented. Hello,
Choosing between the two courses would be one of the most crucial decisions of your educational future. But it solely depends upon the level of the study. I mean if you want to go further for Masters then biotechnology would be a better option because it leaves you with many other choices for PG. But if you are seeking job right after your graduation then u must go for microbiology, because it is a specialisation programme, and you can get relatively greater job opportunities easily.
