Which one should I prefer for an MBA: Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi or XLRI - Xavier School of Management and why?

    Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) and XLRI, Jamshedpur are two top class premier B-School in the country.They are in the same league as they both have the ability and tie-up with many big firms who are recruiting their students for placement. Also their top class faculty and infrastructure enable the student to excel in the field of management.
    So you can go in any one of these fields.To get into XLRI you are to qualify XAT and after that GD-PI and to qualify for admission to FMS you have to score good in CAT after that you have to appear in GD-PI for the same. Both are top class and no doubt you can choose any one you go. FMS has rel

    Hi Top,
    Firstly, FMS Delhi and XLRI Jamshedpur are both top class institutes in all aspects and are often compared with one another since they are in the same league. Both have their own strengths.
    FMS Delhi has a huge number of marketing firms visiting the campus for summers as well as final recruitment. Moreover, FMS Delhi has a much smaller batch size (~220 students) compared to XLRI so it is easier to excel at FMS Delhi than elsewhere in a larger batch. Both institutes are rich in its history and therefore have varied and strong alumni base.
