Why do people think that engineering is useless? Why do people make funny videos on engineers?

Hello friends, one of my questions is that now there is a need for engineers in India, then why the engineers are so helpless.

The modern life with all its facilities, convenience and pleasure is possible because of our engineers. It is not money and power that makes a man but service to people. When people make fun of engineers actually unknowingly they make fool of themselves.

These people who make fun of engineering are not aware of its use and advantages. But, at the same time in some families students are forced to pursue this course without considering their interest. This creates pressure in the minds of the students and they go depress. But yes, I agree one must not make fun of this creative subject.

Engineering is a very good option in this era, particularly in countries that are rapidly expanding their industrial and technological base. A career in engineering can bring a good salary, along with great job satisfaction and success. However, it should be the best branch of engineering for you. The most important factors in success in any career are:
its something you find interesting and enjoyable, even have a passion for it uses your specific strengths and abilities
Think about the different things you are interested in and enjoy working with. Also think about your particular strengths: computers, mechanical devices, and design, ele

No any professional course is useless to begin with. They all have their own advantages and opportunities. Many students and people have misconceptions regarding engineering or rather many other professional courses but those people lack due knowledge about the course what leads to them making fun of engineering or any other course is the fact that they get misdirected and try to comment or react without having due knowledge about the course or the content, they react based on few instances however the sample space is huge. But what happens mostly in some countries and mostly in India is that students are forced into pursuing Engineeri

Every course has it's own value and reputation. Don't go with people. Go what your heart says. People will come and go, but you will be with yourself forever.

People will say, they make comments on anything you do, don't listen to them and focus on your interest. Tech industry pays more compared to any other industry, B.Tech is the only professional degree completed in 4 years, as the degrees like MBBS/MBA or others take more than 5 years.

This all is because of access to engineering students and though without any knowledge. Unemployment increasing here.

    Hi dear,
In fact, the number of engineering students is increasing from year to year, and it may be at the cost of Science students. And so, the quality of engineers is decreasing - inversely proportional to the growth in numbers. The quality of lecturers in engineering colleges is poor. Mainly due to the fact, good students of these colleges become engineers, while those who couldn't get a job of engineer become teachers. The exception is only for those few - who like the profession or get the job in their city of residence.

People think so because it's a trending course as everybody wants to become an engineer and let me tell you, the number of students in different streams is a lot more than engineers. Tell me one engineer who is sitting at home, he might be doing a different job related to some other branch, but not unemployed.
All the best for your bright future.

Yes, this field is considered hard. It is complex and demands high precision. There can be extreme consequences for minor errors. The overall field is extremely challenging as it requires to apply the basic scientific principles to design and develop rockets. It requires sophisticated engineering with careful material selection, and allows narrow margin for error.
