Why do people think that engineering is useless? Why do people make funny videos on engineers?

Engineering is not useless, people who study engineering without their will thinks that is useless. Medicine miracles in health. But engineering miracles even in health industry. Can anyone who makes funny jokes show me a place where engineering is not present it is the way we look at the subject matters. But there are many other subjects which makes us earn more with less pain than engineering that is the reason they think it is useless.

See, pursuing engineering is not everyone's cup of tea. It is all a matter of interest and making funny videos is done to lighten the burden of the syllabus, what we study throughout the semesters. We, engineers, are very creative and we know how to deal with all the stuff wisely and smartly. We live in surroundings where we are subjected to multiple experiences and as a result we emerge changed. And these videos need a part of those experiences where we can easily laugh on us and do our respected jobs as well. One who smiles at himself is never smiled at. That's what we are doing.

Hi dear, I understand many people who aim to turn their careers out as engineers do get offended by such videos but at the same time the reason behind this maybe that more than half the adult population of India is heading towards being engineers no matter whether they are interested in it or not because it has become a cattle herd that attracts parents and children of this era a lot. You may also take it as the ones who envy the living status and standards of knowledge of engineers tend to come out with such videos. Also, rather taking it all in a negative manner develop your personality in such a way that anything offensive that comes your way, you possess the capability to absorb and turn it the other way down in the positive aspect just like taking it as people envy the achievements of engineers or the work culture they are offered on being engineers and the non hindered and growing fame of engineering as a demand and of course handling the technical arena is not everybody cup of tea. But t the same time I would also mention that there are trolls and memes on commerce students as well so its nothing like there's something wrong with the course, after all, a curriculum is a curriculum, no matter what everything someway and somehow adds to your knowledge. Turn out to be repelling force to such minor things. All the best.

Hello,Each field has its own functioning and responsibility to carve the society. The reason for this degradation is the lower standard and stagnant curriculum of Engineering. The practical cum theoretical knowledge provided to the students. The excessive competition of the engineering students resulting in the lesser job opportunities in their chosen field.

Engineering is pretty much useless, if you are not interested in being an engineer and you are forced to study that course. Without any interest any course or degree is useless and won't provide you any benefit from pursuing it. People make fun of anything, they don't really care. But you should only pursue this course only if you have interest in it because it is a tough course and will require your full dedication and commitment in order to be a good engineer.

An engineer is the one who applies his/her technical knowledge in order to design, analyze, calculate, product development, satisfaction of people. Who constantly thrives to make it possible to apply existing laws of science in real life who a responsible citizen working in the direction of development of the world.A professional engineer is competent by virtue of his/her fundamental education and training to apply the scientific method and outlook to the analysis and solution of engineering problems. It requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of others. His/her education will have been such as to make him/her capable of closely and continuously following progress in his/her branch of engineering Science by consulting newly published works on a worldwide basis, assimilating such information and applying it independently. He/she is thus placed in a position to make contributions to the development of engineering Science or its applications. His/her education and training will have been such that he/she will have acquired a broad and general appreciation of the engineering sciences as well as thorough insight into the special features of his/her own branch. In due time he/she will be able to give authoritative technical advice and to assume responsibility for the direction of important tasks in his/her branch.

Because in India, there are 1.5 million seats available per year and around 7.5 Lacs student were graduates per year. To find the job was a difficult task,. That's why it is considered as useless. But engineering is a good profession.
