    Civil engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering after military engineering. It includes construction and maintenance of different structures such as residential buildings, industries, dams, highways, etc. There are different sub-branches in engineering such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, transportation engineering, water resource engineering, etc. One can get government as well as private jobs in civil engineering.     Civil engineering is a branch of engineering which deals with design, construction and maintenance of structures. Without civil engineers such big colossal buildings would just be a dream.

    It is one of the core branches of engineering and the oldest one also that deals with construction technology and management, highway, transportation, irrigation, design and structural.
