Civil is one of the core branches and is often termed, as the mother of all engineering branches. You will have lots of opportunities and ample of government jobs in this field, but you should love involving yourself in practical things. As in civil everything is practical.

There would have been no historic wonders like Taj Mahal, Coliseum of Rome and the Great Wall of China or modern masterpieces like the London Bridge and Howrah Bridge if there were no civil engineers. The engineering course deals with planning, designing, constructing, maintaining, and operating infrastructures while protecting the public and environmental health as well as improving existing infrastructure. Civil engineering is a technical branch of engineering, and is known as B.Tech in Civil or M.Tech for it’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Now, the main part comes is which college to select for civil engineering and this is quite tedious. I suggest you to go through UEM-Kolkata, the most competitive college to be found and to get more knowledge about the college visit the link mentioned here https://www.shiksha.com/university/university-of-engineering-and-management-kolkata-47398.
