Well, it depends upon the programme you would like to take admission in. What eligibility criteria it follows. If the eligibility says subject to qualifying LPU NEST then you have to clear the entrance exam. In addition to qualifying it also provides you a good amount of scholarship if you score well. In case the eligibility of the programme says Pass or only states some percentage criteria, only then LPU NEST will not be a mandatory to qualify. Still in this case, a candidate has an option to appear for LPU NEST just for the sake of scholarship purposes. As LPU NEST is short for Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship test. In my opinion a candidate should appear for this exam even if it is not mandatory, the reason behind that is, there is a chance that you can avail a good scholarship. Hope I have answered your query. Hi Vaibhavi, first you need to log in to LPU website and register onto admission. Lpu. In with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No. , State, Gender and Password). Your email id will act as your username for the portal and password will be set by you while registering on the portal. You will get a mail on your registered email id regarding this. Now log in to the same website with already created username/ password. STEP 2 - Apply for LPU NEST (Eligibility and Scholarship Test). LPU NEST is an entrance test conducted by LPU for admission in various programmes. It aims to check how far the concepts from the previous qualification are clear. It's tough but those who have studied honestly will be able to make it. Don't you worry, the syllabus of LPU NEST is all that you have studied in your previous qualification. In addition to it, there are questions of reasoning, verbal ability, analytical ability are also there. LPU NEST is a proctored exam and questions are asked in the form of MCQs. The result is displayed on the dash board of the student after 24 hrs. One gets two chances of attempting LPU NEST. The best of the two results will be applicable for scholarship. One has to register oneself with the university and pay online for taking LPU NEST. Application form will be in a format that can be processed by Optical Mark Reader (OMR). Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, first of all decide the programme that you want to join and check its Eligibility criteria for Admission. LPU conducts LPU NEST for all the programmes. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. For most of the programmes, it serves both the purposes. As per the official website of LPU, the Schedule for LPU NEST has been started for all the programmes for this current session I. e 2021. As far as Scholarship is concerned, the amount of scholarship depends on the fee of the programme, date of admission and performance of the student in LPU NEST. Scholarship for a specific Programme depends on Performance in LPU NEST. There are three brackets: LPUNEST score more than or equal to Category I cut-off LPUNEST score more than or equal to Category II cut-off LPUNEST score more than or equal to Category III cut-off This cut off depends on various parameters like number of students appeared, the highest marks in the exam and many more.
