How can I crack CPT in 1 year?

1 year is quite a long time to not only prepare but also to score good marks if done with proper planning and dedication. Try to solve a sample question paper daily with a stopwatch and all so that you have an eye on time which is the most crucial thing as there are minimum criteria of 30% in every section so, you can't miss on anything. Prepare a proper schedule to focus on every single subject practice as many questions as you can. As there are questions from every chapter of each section so you can leave few chapters which you may find difficult. As you have plenty of time so according to me you should cover every aspect. must read and solve everything from study material which you will receive from ICAI after filling the form, those books are of great help, you can also take help of your 10th and 12th standard books.

Dear Student, A year is too much for an exam like CPT. As per my opinion, 2 months are enough for it as to get through, one needs to score 50% in aggregate considering negative marking. For that, I would suggest you to clear all your basic concepts and fasten your calculations with respect to maths. This will be sufficient. As in accounts, law and economics the questions will be based on the basic concepts and when it comes to maths what all one need is faster calculating speed. Refer only institute's books as those are the best guides for CPT exams. Generally, questions come from the practice manuals only. All the very best for your exam. Good luck!

The most important thing to clear CA CPT Exam is proper dedication and precision when you prepare for the exam. Along with the theoretical part you should also be confident in the application of concept and the time-management. To get a decent score you need to score min. 30 percent on every subject in which you appear. Accountancy is the subject where you can secure maximum marks, lifting your overall percentage so you should focus on the reparation. If you are good in accounting then your chances of cracking the CPT also increases a lot. You should start the revision of sums and chapters, cover entire theory and also solve a couple of questions. For the mercantile law, focus on all of the laws, definitions and topics. The contract act is important here because the mercantile law is the only important subjects after accounting, of you, want to score. For Economics the best approach is to complete macroeconomics and then move on to the microeconomics. Questions from macroeconomics are also considered to be a good scoring option. Quantitative aptitude - Integration and differentiation are also important in statics, and it will be best not to miss out on that. Your objective should be attempting the answers that give higher score rather than the easy ones. Selecting the right answers within a given frame of time is important, as the level of competition will be very high. You need to be confident in your approach. Whatever answers you give need to be based on your knowledge and confidence and not any guess work.
