I got 21 marks in JEE Mains and will get above 80% in state board. Can I get a good college for B.Tech?
-
Hello, Your board marks are good but your JEE Mains marks are not good. You would not get any IIT/NIT nor any government college and if you are a general category student then there is no way to get a good college with this score. But if you are SC/ST student then there are some chances of getting a good college, otherwise, you can get a private college of your state because your 12th board scores are good. Best of luck.

I am dissatisfied with above answer, who says you can get Thapar University.
You can't get anyone of above, just go for local colleges. Or, you can take drop from reputed coaching and score good for NITS and IITS. -

7 years agoWith this JEE score, you can't get any IIT's or NIT's. But yes, you can get good private colleges like Thapar University, Amity University, LPU, Manav Rachna, etc. -
Your JEE marks are very poor. But your percentage is good. So, you can apply for your state B.Tech college.

No, you cannot get admission in any government college or in any top private college.

Board result though matters, but not in giving you admission. What matters in JEE Mains? Your score is not good to fetch you a NIT or other good College. You can try for private ones they will provide admission directly or through their entrances. If you prefer to take a drop and believe that you can crack it next time, then go for it.

Since your marks are just average, getting into very good college would be a challenge. You must decide what stream you would like to pursue and then choose a college accordingly.
