Taking a drop is always a very subjective decision,it depends on many factors, like if you want to get decent campus Placement, you should get into a reputed College. It completely depends on you.If you will drop then you had to be ready for immense hardwork and an emotional battle that you had to face. Everybody will tell you about its pros n cons, some will support you and some willcriticize your decision.During this year sometimes you'll feel like you've done a mistake by taking a gap, feel frustration of exams, competition and it becomes more when your exam is near but if you tackle these things than surely you'll excel.
