Is it compulsory for all to appear for LPUNEST entrance exam?

Asked about LPU - Lovely Professional University - Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)

If one scores more than 90% in his/her 12th examination, then do they have to give the entrance exam?

If you are looking for admission in B.Com at LPU, there is no LPUNEST entrance exam. Also, if you have 90% and above, you can even avail scholarship. As per the latest initiative by LPU, they have relaxed eligibility in many of the courses, stating During this period of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, to support prospective students (candidates) to apply for admissions, direct online/remote admissions (subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria) process has been started.

LPUNEST is scholarship and eligibility specific. It serves two purposes. It totally depends on the programme you are going to take admission in. If programme eligibility says LPUNEST is mandatory then you need to appear for it otherwise it's your choice to appear for it in order to avail maximum scholarship throughout the degree.

    Hi,
Due to the current situation i.e. COVID-19, the eligibility criteria is a bit relaxed. It is different for different programmes.
For B.com, the eligibility criteria 50% with English.
For B.Com. (Management Accounting and International Finance ) and B.Com (Hons.), the eligibility criteria is 60% with English.
LPU offers different types of scholarships on the basis of marks in either of the last two qualifications, LPUNEST, Sports, Defence, COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship, and many more. If you are eligible for more than one scholarship, only one scholarship you will get is the maximum one. The best thing is if you get the scholarship,

    Hello Mili,
Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) for B.Com is: Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.
(5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants).
So, LPUNEST can be given for scholarship in your case( BBA). For eligibility, it's not required.

Earlier, a candidate must have to give test (LPUNEST) and must score certain percentile in his qualifying exams for admission. But, as per my knowledge due to COVID-19, LPU has relaxed various conditions for admission to support students in such pandemic situation. So, you can proceed for admission in LPU with good amount of scholarship without test. After admission, your marks in test considered for securing scholarship only.
Now, various education institutes such as LPU has floated COVID-19 front-line scholarship for COVID survivors and their dependents to target every aspirant in this current scenario. So, the last date to take admis

It totally depends upon the choice of programme in which you want to take admission. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, LPUNEST exam is postponed till the next government announcement related to the COVID-19 lockdown. LPUNEST is compulsory for the programmes: B.Tech., LL.M, PG Agriculture Programmes, Ph.D. Interview is compulsory is for MBA and Ph.D programmes. Except these programmes, you can take admission in all other programmes by fulfilling the required eligibility criteria. Admission is open online and the last date of admission is 30th April.

    Hi dear,
This year, LPUEST is mandatory as eligibility for B.Tech, and for all other UG programs it will serve as scholarship test.
Yes, you are right, above 90% in 10+2, you don't need to do it. Your marks get you the highest possible slab of scholarship itself.

No, but you need to show the qualification of any other competitive exam conducted by the central government as an alternate. In case, if there is no such exam, you need to take LPU-NEST as LPU-NEST is not just an entrance exam, but a scholarship test as well. Moreover, I will strongly suggest you to apply for LPU-NEST as it will contribute highly in turning the odds of getting a scholarship in your favour for your UG program.
    Thank you.

    Hello,
It depends on which programme you want to take admission. In LPU, for some programmes LPUNEST is mandatory to be eligible for a programme and for some, it is not.
If LPUNEST is mandatory for admission in your desired programme, then you must go for it and qualify it. Only then you can get admission. LPUNEST is an online test with no negative marking. (Fully MCQs). There are two chances for LPUNEST. If somehow you are not able to qualify the test in the first attempt then you have second chance to go for it but within a limited period at the time of admissions.
If LPUNEST is not mandatory for the programme in which you want to take
