Is it compulsory to clear CAT to get admission in IIM? Is CMAT not acceptable there?

  • Yes, it's compulsory to appear in CAT and score significantly high to get a seat in IIM. CMAT is acceptable in other MBA colleges, like KJ Somaiya, etc.

    Greetings,
    Yes, for IIMs you have to score good percentile in CAT. IIMs do not accept any other entrance exam result. CMAT score is not acceptable.

    CAT is essential, if you get more than 97 percentile.

    It is compulsory to give CAT exam for doing MBA in IIMs. Without CAT it is not possible to get into IIMs. The required cutoff ranges from 96-100 percentile. You will get a weak IIM with 96 percentile and a good one with 99.80-100 percentile like IIM-A, B or C.
    CMAT exam is accepted only in AICTE approved B-schools.

    For taking entry into IIM, you need to appear in CAT exam and later on should fetch a very good percentile.

    For IIMs, score in CAT is considered. CMAT scores are not eligible to apply.

    For IIM CAT percentile is compulsory and that too above 95 percentile to get into good branch so better start preparing for that.

No, candidates do not have to mandatorily appear for the CMAT entrance exam for MBA in Business Analytics at Marwadi University. Candidates can apply for MBA admissions through any of the national level entrance exam such as CAT, XAT, ATMA and more. However, during admissions into the MBA in Business Analytics, candidates who appeared for the CMAT exam are given more preference.

Yes, it is possible to get an MBA seat at CET Trivandrum with a valid CMAT score. The institute accepts CAT, CMAT, and KMAT scores for MBA admissions. Thus, students who did not appear for CMAT or did not score well can apply via KMAT or CAT scores.
