Is it compulsory to clear CAT to get admission in IIM? Is CMAT not acceptable there?

Yes, it is compulsory to clear CAT for taking admission in IIMS for MBA. CAT is quite tough from CMAT.

CMAT is not acceptable by any of the IIMs. You have to take CAT in order to secure admission into any of the IIMs.

No, admission to Iims is not possible with CMAT scores as Iims only accept CAT scores for admission. CAT or CMAT exam is not compulsory for MBA. There are a host of other MBA entrance exams similar/equivalent to CAT like XAT. Several institutes have their own entrance exams like NMAT for NMIMS, TISS, SNAP for Symbiosis, IIFT CET for Maharashtra institutes, MICA, etc.

Giving the CAT exam in order to pursue an MBA/PGDM at an IIM is required. It is impossible to enroll in IIMs without taking the CAT. CMAT is acceptable in other Top AICTE approved MBA/PGDM colleges like GIBS Bangalore, etc.

Hi. Rajesh. For getting chance into the college like Iims you should have to clear the CAT exam only with high score along with cracking the interview round. Whereas the CMAT is accepted with AICTE approved B-School and some of the best B-School like GIBS Bangalore, christ University, Jain University etc.
