Although, it's not a good option to choose the distance and open learning. But if you are working in the same industry or pursuing another short-term course then it's not a bad idea to choose the same.

    Hello,
I would not advise you to start your career with distance mode. If you are asking about the worthiness, I don't think about that because various big corporation and media companies don't even consider these candidates who have done their studies from distance learning mode. Course like mass communication and journalism is too practical. You cannot get practical knowledge while just sitting at home and reading books. So, if you really want to gain some practical exposure, you need to do some practical work in that field and a regular course from a good college will surely help you in this direction. Journalism and mass communication emphasizes on theoretical as well as practical study and distance learning program is not the right option to go for. Bachelor of Journalism and mass communication can't be confined into just cramming and writing it on the exam date, it is much more than that. The three-year course constitutes of a number of subjects with an internship to be done at the end of each year in print, broadcast and communication firms. The academic structure also includes project work for every semester a

I would say, it is better to not to try for distance learning of this course, because this subject has lot of practical papers, for which a student needs to be at the institution regularly. It cannot be taught once a month. A student needs to practice all the practical papers, those papers not only help to teach but also help to fetch marks. If you apply for distance learning then you might not learn very well in this subject. This subjects has multiple papers like advertising, reporting, editing, video production, public relations, electronic media. For that, an institution should conduct a regular practical session.
