As per my knowledge, Lovely Professional University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. LPU does not require an AICTE approval since it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. LPU is the best University to join as it focuses on the overall growth of the students. Hi, Lovely Professional University is approved by the UGC (University Grants Commission), so it does not need AICTE approval. According to the 2018 guidelines of the Supreme Court, AICTE approval is compulsory for all deemed universities and other institutes providing courses in technical education. When you study at a deemed university or at a campus (not at its affiliated colleges) approved by UGC, then even if your course is not approved by AICTE, there will be no problems. However, LPU is affiliated with the Distance Education Council.
