Is LPU good for studying B.Sc in agriculture? Will I face any problem in getting jobs in India or abroad after the same?

Lovely Professional University is one of the best for B.Sc. In agriculture. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph.D. LPU has become a brand across the globe. It has various national and international tie-ups. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. University provides additional professional enhancement classes as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. The degree of LPU is accepted worldwide so I believe you will not be facing any problem. The credit transfer options allow to pursue half degree from a university abroad and get the degree of the foreign university. As per my knowledge, School of Agriculture is among Punjab and India's Best Agriculture colleges. It lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and, insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. Whereas LPU provides better teaching to their students where they learn the things through theory as well as practically also. Providing ultimate learning experience with a commitment to innovation.

Lovely professional university is the first private university to avail the accreditation from The Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR). So definitely it is good for the programme you are looking for. As per students review, the companies visit here very frequently for the placement drives and also the degree will be recognised so you won't be facing any problem.

Hi LPU is the only private university which has been accredited by ICAR. Dear Student, B.Sc. Agriculture is one of the most booming course these days. This programme equips students with all-round knowledge of sector and normally includes the following: Agronomy: Basics of Agronomy, Kharif and Rabi Crop, Crop Protection, Weed Management, Irrigation Techniques, Water Resource Management, Organic Farming, Sustainable Agriculture. LPU has Hons programme in same as B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, which is a 4 year course in total. Eligibility for the same is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent.

You can opt for any trade-in LPU as the entry requirements are nearly the same. The B.Sc. In the Agriculture Department is very well known for it quality placements and industry tie-up. The interior of the university is very beautiful and you gonna have a great time living and studying there. But these are all good sides of the story, there is also a very bad side of story that is the jobs. University is private and purely profit-making. They are not here to make you competent for industry-related skills. The quality of education is good but you need a job after sending a million (10 lacs) for higher education. Jobs are very rare in LPU and even there are companies who are coming for placement but you have to compete with atleast few thousand people there. Keep LPU as a safe option as they gonna always accept your application, try for other Private/government. Colleges and Universities as they charge less amount of tuition fees and placements are also great. Even you are not getting good placement then you are getting the degree for less amount as compared to LPU. You can explore south Indian as the quality education is good, cheap and placements are relatively better as compared to other parts of the country. The choice is yours.

Hi,Lovely Professional University (LPU) has become India's first private university to get ICAR accreditation. And I am saying this because one of my friend has done B.Sc. Agriculture from LPU only and right now she is working with VLCC. She told me the university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and, insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. Students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that creates an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. The project involves the introduction of floating islands for water management and improving sanitation and regulation of water quality & restoration of the water table with the help of biological agents. Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and, insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios. A drone which can be guided by remote control can be used on agriculture land to analyze the soil nutrient status and water stress is an innovation by LPU students to simplify farming experience. The University provide students with ample exposure both in the form of theoretical and practical knowledge for which there is much emphasis on workshops, live projects etc. Along with class room teaching. The university has made quality education possible for all by providing good scholarships under different categories. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Students are given a lot of on-job training as well as work on projects where they can earn also. B.Sc. Agriculture placements of the university are very good with students getting high packages. Lpu provides good placements in companies like dhanuka, Ankur seeds, VLCC health care, Monsanto but it solely depends upon u and your skills to be placed by these companies so work hard n enhance your talents. There are lot of College and universities which are doing great in agriculture studies but as per my expert LPU is one of the best choice for agriculture programme. Lovely Professional University is first private university accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research. No other private university has this accreditation. LPU is one of the great place for education where the management actually believe on actions rather than words. Whatever they promised they delivered to us along with in campus placement at good package and best time of life and the Last but not least that you will not face any problem in any country with LPU Degree.
