The most important thing you should keep in mind while choosing your career path is your own interests and career aspirations. If you want to pursue a career in Technology then go for GATE and if you want to make a career in Management then go for CAT.
There are two stages in civil services: Preliminary & Main.
In Prelim, as the Exam pattern has changed, the examination is now designed to evaluate areas like decision making skills, logical and analytical abilities and the knowledge in the services in which you want to pursue your career instead of subject Knowledge. Since the preliminary exam is an elimination round the candidate should also remember to focus only on the information needed and filter out the rest.
I would like to add here Under Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) also know as prelim, the candidates will have to appear in two objective-type papers having special emphasis on testing their aptitude for civil services as well as on ethical and moral dimension of decision-making. Both these papers having equal weightage will be common to all candidates.

wanted to go in network line?
wanted to get good job in higher end? am i right?
if u want to enhance ur career and knowledge as well why don't u choose RHCE. cos most of the Servers r running on Linux and then u opt CCNA. Because knowing LAN then u know about WAN will give u more advantage. After that u opt Oracle DBA So that u can become System Admin or Network Admin or Security Admin or Database Admin as well.
The combination of RHCE+CCNA+DBA will be good. After completing RHCE u will feel a lot of confidence as well.
As Cyber Crime is going high Security Specialist is going to be future. For Securing Network u must have thorough knowledge of Network and for securing data u must have thorough knowledge of one Operating System for that U must choose the OS which is running in Industry like Linux, for that u can opt RHCE & RHCSS (Red Hat Certified Security Specialist) will give u ultimate mileage for ur career.
Try to take International Certification instead of local or national brand certificate.
