Hi Rohit,
Admission requirements and procedures vary from campus to campus. You need to meet the university specifc criteria and pass tests such as SAT and TOEFL/IELTS in addition to having consistent academic grades. You haven't mentioned which branch of engineering you are referring to, perhaps I could have guided you better. Nevertheless for engineering sciences look for options such as MIT, CalTech, UPenn, Georgia Tech in US, RWTH Aachen Germany, HKUST Hong Kong and UBC Canada to name a few. You may also refer to the listing available on the Shiksha website

There is no difference as both means same. Right after independence of India we had two types of universities, one that offers degrees in many fields like Sciences, Arts, Education and Engineering too, and the second set of universities (were named as institutes) offer only degrees in engineering. Universities those offer other degrees along with engineering named their engineering degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institute constituted for only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology). Now as AICTE approve courses most of the courses are same and identical for BE and B.Tech. The universities t

You must narrow down your choices like your budget, language spoken, admission requirements, etc. must be taken into consideration. USA is more of a popular destination whereas Ireland is gaining popularity. It totally depends on what you want to study. USA is very expensive with selective universities while Ireland is cheaper as compared to US.

Hello Fahd,
I am afraid your dream of getting admission via lateral mode in IIT Madras needs a little amendment. IIT's do not give lateral admission but accept diploma as equivalent to class 12th and give admission. Hence, if you have scored 75% or more in your Diploma then you can appear for JEE Mains and then JEE advanced for admission.
Best wishes to you.

In recent past Indian IT industry is going through challenging phase. Growth is no longer in 2 digits. Starting salaries have stagnant for last 2 to 3 years. Reading all these negatives people discourage students to take us CSE as career option. But my views differs from majority. IT is still a growing industry. If you do BTech CSE from a reputed college then you can make a very good career in IT industry. To be successful in the field of IT you have to sharpen your Technical skills every 2 years. You also have to develop soft skills to excel in the field of IT.
