In practice, cut-off of previous year is not of much use. Preference of students is changing every year. I suggest you concentrate only on scoring max in entrance test. That's all.

Disc recording is more durable than tape, offers better sound quality (especially vinyl one), and lets you skip tracks easily. But it's fragile scratches can ruin it and not very portable. Tapes are more rugged for travel but wear out faster and are harder to navigate.

Your scores are decent but it will be easier for me to help if I knew your rank in SRM JEE examination. I think your rank will be around 25000-35000. With this you may not get ECE branch at the main campus but you can get the other campuses with that rank.
