The question to your answer will depend on what you want to study and admission requirements of the universities. Every program and University have their standard set of admission requirements. How you join a good college is by meeting these criterion. Take the GRE to study in US. Not required in Australia. Take the IELTS or TOEFL for English language proficiency requirement. BCA and B.Tech in IT syllabus overlap by 50% but for some subjects, the depth of coverage is more in B.Tech in IT. B.Tech in IT provides sound theoretical concepts and background to Students in comparison to BCA students. Market acceptance of B.Tech in IT is higher in comparison to BCA graduates.

to become a software engineer, you must take computer Science group .
Then, you must pursue computer science engineering or IT in your undergraduate courses.

Hi, There is no eligibility here. However typically IELTS test takers are of 16 years minimum. Also, yes you can IELTS after your Diploma as well. The scores are valid for two years, once expired you have to give again. Choose to take the test depending when you are going to apply abroad.
