If you meet admission requirements then yes, you can and there is no age limit for studying the same. You must, however, show valid reasons for your gap and convince them that you are ready to pursue your studies now. Decide what to study and have a career plan, take your IELTS and please also write to the universities before applying.

Hi,
With the current changes, a drop of 50% is already been observed in the application to USA. With the suggested changes in no work visa for spouses of H1 B holders, it would be difficult to study or work. Until the final verdict on it comes on paper, it's not a hot destination as of now.
