No, Indian Institute Of Technologies do not offer lateral entry. But, many good colleges offer lateral entry .You can take admission in these colleges after your Diploma.

Hello Diljot,
Your rank is quite good in IPU exam. There are some colleges which you can seek for admission in CSE or IT stream but you have to wait for the last round of counselling which might be there in late august.
Colleges where you have chances to get enrolled are :-
MSIT
GTBIT
BVCOE
ASET.

For getting admission in good colleges in India, one needs to have at least 70 percentile in entrance examination. In Maharashtra, perhaps you can get admission to an engineering college, based on your MHT CET marks, but it may not be the best college.

After completion of Diploma in EC, you should opt for lateral entry admission in the second year of Engineering. You can opt for Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications branch of engineering as per your own interest.
