In engineering, every field is better in its respective. It depends on you that in which stream you can be the best of yourself. If you can complete yourself at the best level in any of the streams in B.Tech like in mechanical, civil, computer, you can choose any one of them. Everyone has a better scope in one or the other, so it depends on your capability and talent that which stream is good for you. For us, every field of B.Tech is the best.

No, there is no such scheme by which you can be transported to IITs.
NIT is also a very good college and once selected in it you can change your stream according to your marks but no college transfer scheme is there.

If you are from Chandigarh then you have more chances because I think CCA has 40 seats in which 35 for Chandigarh students and 5 for other states. So, you need to score 260+ to get a seat here (if you are not coming from home state quota) and 230+ if you are from Chandigarh.
