You may appear for NET (National Eligibility Test) conducted by UGC for the position of JRF (Junior Research Fellow). After clearing the exam, you may apply for research assistants in IITs and various government science/engineering colleges. This would give you an opportunity to associate & understand research. Later, pursue M .Tech and Ph.D. for independent research.
