Hi Payal,
Earning an Master's in Business Administration (MBA) can help professionals enhance their career opportunities, receive increased compensation and job promotions. An MBA can provide the skills and knowledge necessary to start a new business, and many employers require an MBA for certain management or leadership positions.
An MBA is only worth the expense, time, and effort when the graduate plans to work in a business-related field, in management, or as a company founder. For those working in other industries, unless they are in management or leadership roles, an MBA may not be useful.
Hope it helps. Please feel free to revert. C

It is a good idea to have since from the beginning of our career to opt integrated course. During your study your path & vision is clear instead of just again thinking from the beginning what to do as now a day it is scenario for Engineering Graduate. Big question haunts them should they go for M.Tech or MBA. That creates confusion & dilemma which may if leads to wrong decision may spoil your career.
What MBA do, rather, builds your ability to critically analyses any business situation; it hones your mind & thinking ability and problem solving acumen. An MBA is a starting point of lifelong achievements.

Hi Payal,
The main difference between MBA and PGDM is that MBA is a degree and is offered by universities, whereas, PGDM is a post-graduate diploma offered by AICTE approved institutes.
Indian universities come under the University Grants Commission (UGC) and can, therefore, award degrees like the MBA degree, also known as MMS in Mumbai. Universities follow the UGC format for course content. On the other hand, reputed management institutes design their courses based on industry feedback and business relevance. They are not covered under the UGC.

Hi Vivek,
Opting for M.Vom in Economics is good option. You can also check out more options like, MA/ M.Sc. programme in economics, Master of Business Economics (MBE) or MA business economics degree. You can also do MBA or Master of Finance and Control (MFC).
Those who obtain higher qualification in economics can find entry level jobs in banking, finance, insurance, stock markets or share broking, sales and marketing and so on. Government enterprises, public sector companies, investment firms, business journals, newspapers and television news channels are among the prospective employers.

Both the institutes are equally good but you can further differentiate based on the following points :
1. Location of the college.
2. Fees and scholarships - Take into consideration the fee structure of the course in the college and also check out the available scholarships.
3. Quality of Teachers– The quality of teachers plays a very vital role, visit the campus and get in touch with the students.
4. Campus - Go to the college and get a first-hand experience. Tour the campus, eat in the cafeteria and check out the compatibility of the surroundings according to your interest
5. Placements

Hi Sakshi,
From academic perspective the coursework of CS and IT are almost identical. Although subjects involving very deep theoretical computer science concepts are usually not taught to IT students. For example CS students have a course in Artificial Intelligence while IT have a course in e-commerce in its place.
Apart from the academic perspective, the placements are almost the same for the CS and the IT students
