In my opinion, an MBA dual specialisation is higher because it lets in you to use for a wider choice of positions if you may control both regions of knowledge. The more flexible you are inside the corporate surroundings, the greater options you will have. An MBA with a dual specialisation provides this benefit.

Hi.
It's amazing and will be great decisions for you if you joined GEMS B School. No other college will place you while doing MBA, whereas at Gems you will be working as well as learning both. End of the 2 year, you will be getting a full time UGC recognized degree from Bharathiar University with two year of learn and work experience. And yes, you will be paid these two year for working in corporate.

I suggest you write a mock CAT to figure out your strengths and weak areas. Depending on your score you can figure out when to start preparing. Its possible to score well in CAT by preparing rigorously for 4-5 months if your basics are good.
