Hi, If you want to become a psychologist you should have the ability to to reach out to people, should develop keen observation skills, ability to think about a problem through many dimensions,should have compassion and empathy. To some extent all of us have these traits but you may have to refine them. If we talk about the qualification, you should have masters degree in psychology for starters. If you want to choose guidance and counseling as your core discipline, then you should have a specialization in it. You can be a clinical psychologist, behavior therapist, org psychologist . but all depends on your specialization in your masters degree . If you want to do your master through correspondence, i suggest Madras University. If you want to do PGDP in psy/guidance and counseling etc. you can do it from the same or from IGNOU too.

Hi Aseem,
To get into merchant navy you need to have Science with Math and an Engineering degree. Marine Engineering is the best route to get into navigation programmes. However, if you have other related engineering degree like Electrical or Electronics you can go for Pre Sea training and get into navy.
