Both the colleges are good at their own place. It totally depends on your interest that in which college you want to go. As per placement scenario, I will suggest you to go for YMCA University Faridabad. Top IT companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT, CAPGEMINI etc. Visit the campus for recruitment. There is no UG which is offered by VIT called CSE specialization in Data Science. There is only CSE specialization in Data Analytics.

The subjects of B.Sc. Computer Science will be almost similar to computer Science engineering excluding some subjects like computer network. You will be taught programming languages like c programming, Java, python etc.

Hey Shruti, yes this is a new branch and there are no official details about the number of seats. I would suggest you keep a check on your emails where VIT would send you detailed information regarding the number of seats and categories.
