DU does not offer B.Tech. However there are many other institutes that offer B.Tech and in order to seek admission, you need to give entrance AIEEE, IITJEE, CET etc.

I will just add that an aircraft is sub divided trade wise into electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, radar & navigation. In mechanical trade, air frame, hydraulics and fuel system come. In avionics, radar, navigation and instrument panel come. Since, each aircraft require all trades and there is no question as to which is better or career oriented, it depends upon your liking.

Yes, after Diploma in engineering if you wish to seek admission in degree course then you may join lateral B.Tech course. In lateral entry scheme you can directly enter the second year course.
But, not to forget, lateral entry rules differ from one university to another so I would suggest you to please directly contact the university officials for specific criteria.
