Usually admissions to most of the engineering colleges are through entrance examinations. The eligibility for the same is mentioned below
For admission in a bachelor’s degree, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as physics, maths and chemistry. However, the eligibility and admission details may vary from institute to institute as different institutes have different eligibility and admission procedures. For IITs, It is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E). The duration for the course is 4 years.

However, the eligibility may vary from institute to institute, as different institutes have different eligibility criteria.
Also, as you have done your diploma, you can try for Lateral entry by giving LEET exam. One requires to qualify LEET as conducted by the technical education board of the state. Lateral Entry Entrance Tests are conducted on state level. But some colleges and Univerities too conduct Lateral Entry Tests. You will get direct admission to 2nd year of B.Tech if you clear the exam.
