Doing BBA distance course or correspondence cannot be said to be equal to the regular one. But doing it from a good college with good scores and more importantly, good internship gives you the edge over other correspondence students. IGNOU gives a good distance learning programs but recently Sikkim Manipal University is also giving options for many courses for distance learning.
