firstly i would like to say stress will not help much but hard work work will.
Portfolio does matter at jamia. following is the weightage given to each paper for the entrance exam:-
Paper I: Multiple Choice Questions (100 Marks)
Paper II: Descriptive (100Marks)
Interview: 45 Marks
PORTFOLIO: 55 Marks
The portfolio is evaluated on the following parameters broadly:
1. Proof of production work (audio/visual media based)
2. Proof of participation in social activities( involvement with NGOs or social
organizations)
3. Published work (Articles and stories etc. published in reputed journals and
magazines)
4. Proof of internship/work experience wi

Sometimes, it matters with many reputed companies but not at all. Appear with clearing all backlogs to interview, If you are having good guts then interviewer will be impressed with your communication skills too. So, try to clear your backlog first!
