Cyber security has become an important field as it is important to secure the data available online. This gives more career options to database administrators. It is they who will find ways to secure and protect electronic information. It will help if they are technically skilled. The IT field also looks for database administrator to keep their information in an organized manner.
The maximum opportunities arise from computer systems design and related services industry. Internet Service Providers, search portals and data processing industries also gives opportunities to database administrators.
Database administrators need to work as assistants to get an entry level. They can assist managers and get a hang of how the industry works. Invariably they can join as SQL database administrators and then go up the ladder as they gain experience. An entry level database administrator can earn from $30,000 to $40,000. It is important for the entry level administrator to gain knowledge about the related field and the latest technology in order to have an edge over the others.

Specialized Associate Diploma in Cyber Security (IADL, UK) and a Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA) Degree from IGNOU, New Delhi. It helps them to prepare with a strong foundation in core IT skills and professional and leadership roles in Information security. Successful completion of the IGCS program entitles a candidate to receive an International Diploma in IT security accredited with IADL(UK) and Bachelor's degree in Computer Application from Indra Gandhi National University (IGNOU), Delhi. Definitely not bad, but I will lean towards a regular BCA from a reputed and approved institute/college affiliated to a UGC approved university for slightly more edge with regard to job prospects.

ITIL, formerly an acronym for Information Technology Infrastructure Library, is a set of practices for IT Service Management (ITSM) that focuses on aligning IT services with the needs of business. In its current form (known as ITIL 2011 edition), ITIL is published as a series of five core volumes, each of which covers a different ITSM lifecycle stage. Although ITIL underpins ISO/IEC 20000 (previously BS15000), the International Service Management Standard for IT service management, there are some differences between the ISO 20000 standard and the ITIL framework.
ITIL describes processes, procedures, tasks, and checklists which are not organization-specific, but can be applied by an organization for establishing integration with the organization's strategy, delivering value, and maintaining a minimum level of competency. It allows the organization to establish a baseline from which it can plan, implement, and measure. It is used to demonstrate compliance and to measure improvement.
Since July 2013, ITIL has been owned by AXELOS Ltd, a joint venture between HM Cabinet Office and Capita Plc. AXELOS licenses organizations to use the ITIL intellectual property, accredits licensed Examination Institutes, and manages updates to the framework.
The ITIL Qualification Scheme and Credit System
The ITIL Qualification Scheme uses a modular credit system called the ITIL Credit System. All ITIL and ITIL-related qualifications within the ITIL Credit System are assigned a specific credit value. As those credits are applied, the applicant qualifies to test for a higher level of certification. There are five levels of qualifications within the ITIL Qualification Scheme that include the following:
• ITIL Foundation, which scores candidates with 2 credits, consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. No prerequisites are required to take this examination. It deals with key elements, concepts and terminology associated with ITIL service lifecycle management.
