Both the degrees are the same except their names. Universities offering other courses along with technical courses name it as ME otherwise it is termed as M.Tech. There is no difference between them. Also some universities having good placement records and national and international rankings are listed below -

If you are from Rajasthan, then you should proceed towards Sikar. It completely depends on your interest or career plans that which one you want to go for. Mechanical engineering gives you a generic specialization which will be applicable throughout but automobile will give you a specific field of specialization. Unless you don't have any specific career plans with automobile engineering I would suggest go for mechanical engineering.
