You certainly have scored good marks in your board exams but your score in JEE is not satisfactory to get admission in IIT, NIT or government colleges. However you can apply for private colleges. You have good score in 12 based on which you may get a good scholarship offered by some private universities. You can check out these universities as they are having excellent placement records and good overall rankings. Some college suggestions -

Your marks doesn't assure you to get a seat into SRm or any IIT, NIT. You still have some other best universities you can apply for. Just give it some extra effort this time. Private universities also provide best infrastructure these days and have excellent placement records. You can check out the following colleges -

Hi, Geology prepares you to be part of varied areas, right from resource management and environmental protection to mineral and oil exploration. They can specialise in innumerable fields. A geologist can work in engineering and consulting firms, government agencies, mining companies, petroleum companies, and museums.

The UPSC conducts exams for placement in GSI, Central Ground Water Board, etc. They also have an option to take up IAS/Forestry Service. PSUs like ONGC and Hindustan Zinc Ltd conduct an All India Entrance exam for hiring Geologists.

Hey Shashikant,
There's absolutely no problem if you want to resume your studies. You need to provide a gap certificate of what you have done to the college you are going to take admission. BCA can give you good opportunities if you choose a good college to study having good placement records. Just check the placement history of the college before taking admission.

Jaipuria Institute of Management is a good college to study and it has an impressive placement records over past few years. It also has certain rankings. You can proceed with your plans but going by the fee structure of the institute you can consider some other colleges also which offer even better placement with the same or less fee. No, you won't be able to get into the college because of your low marks in JEE Mains exam. Even though you have scored really well in the HP Board exams, you would need to get more marks in JEE to get into this college. Also, please specify the branch you want to get into so that I can tell you the cut-offs of that branch. You will need to score around 150 in JEE Mains to get a good branch at NIT Hamirpur.
