Aerospace engineering is concerned with designing and building aircraft and spacecraft. Aerospace engineering can be divided into two specializations: aeronautical engineers handle design, manufacturing and maintenance of aircraft, helicopters and UAV, etc. and astronautically engineers, who design spacecraft, rockets, satellites, and others. Aeronautical engineering was the original term for the field. Both aerospace engineering and aeronautical engineers are niche branch of engineering with lot of similarities in syllabus with almost 90% overlap. Aerospace engineering is the most exciting engineering branch which is leading in new technology generation and innovation. Most of the technology developed in the fields is used by various industries subsequently. If you love technology and it challenges then it is a branch for you.
There are lots of good career opportunities on completion of aerospace / aeronautical engineering graduates. As you're from the science background and completed your 12th, I would suggest first you should complete your graduation in any field, preferably in the science background, as you're from the same field!
