Hello Jyoti,
It's very tough to say which department of IISc is better than the other. In fact each department competes with another for academic excellence in this institute. I would rather advise you to select the topic that fascinates you the most amongst a variety of subjects that you are eligible. I am attaching a link for you:

Hi Debasmith,
I do not understand the part "correspondence to SAT". SAT is mandatory and so are good marks. Also, the universities in USA will see your overall profile and not just your marks. Nevertheless with regards to your query you should aim for a first class, 70% and above is good. The more your percentage is the better. SAT score to be aimed is above 1400.

Exams held at CUSAT are not generic in nature as in other universities. You are supposed to have your syllabus thoroughly studied by some standard textbooks. After 2015 admission scheme, the grading system has changed, and now it's a little bit easier to score marks compared to the past.

See, all the three colleges are good, but in the placement aspect, IMS DAVV & PIMR are better options. Both of these colleges provide ample placement opportunities in marketing & finance profiles and a little bit in HR profile.
But since I am from IMS, I will say that IMS is better than PIMR.
