Salary structure :
It is good if you are seeking for the higher degree as M.Tech or MS or Ph.D. in one of the specializations of biotechnology engineering. A fresher graduate can earn the initial package of 2.5 Lacs per annum. After getting the experience of two or more years, he can get the double or multiple of it. Abroad, you can get the average of salary as $100000 per annum.

Pilot & animation are two different careers. If your son wants to take up animation as a career, he should be prepared to draw (sketching) & paint. He cannot rise high in a career in Animation unless he develops excellent drawing & painting skills (mainly drawing). Robotics is again a different field. He will have to take up a career in engineering in computer science to become a robotics engineer. A Robot is an interdepartmental engineering application requiring skills of a computer engineer, electronics engineer, mechanical engineer, materials engineer, etc. I can assure you that if your son does animation degree course from a good college, he will have no problem in finding a job. Rather companies always look for good animators. He can become a storyboard artist, animatics artist, layout & background artist (also called the concept artist), animation artist, compositing artist, rigging artist, modeller, VFX artist, etc. Remember that 2d animation is the key. Without strong fundamentals, he will not go far. Starting salary can be from Rs. 15-25,000/- per month. He can reach in 3-5 years yearly salaries of Rs. 4-6 LPA. He can also think about a career in game designing as a game artist, which is a specialisation of animation. There is a huge demand for game artists. Game programmers are different people requiring computer science background.
